Kinky Kela

Ingredients to make Kinky Kela

  • Raw bananas 3
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • jeera/Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Hing/ asafoetida a pinch
  • Haldi/ turmeric powder a pinch
  • Dhania/ coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Lal mirch/red chilli powder a pinch
  • Sabji masala 1/2 tsp
  • namak/Salt as required

How to make Kinky Kela

  1. Peel off the outer layer of the banana and cut into small pieces.
  2. Take a wok and add oil, when it is slightly heated add the jeera and hing.
  3. Now add the cubed banana and saute it well. Next add all the dry ingredients and mix it well together.
  4. Let it cook for sometime and cover with a lid.
  5. Serve it hot with chapatis or paranthas.

My Tip:

I usually use a peeler to scrape the outer part of the banana, this time I just removed the banana outer skin. This gives it a kurkura/crispy texture.
