ABOUT Kurdai Upma RECIPE

Packed with the goodness of wheat. This came in as a rescue to change my son's habit of savouring on dehydrated noodles.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 6-7 wheat kurdai which can be broken into pieces
  2. Water to boil and soak these kurdai
  3. ½ Onion chopped
  4. 1-2 green chillies chopped
  5. A handful of peanuts (optional)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  8. a dash of lemon juice
  9. Oil 1 tbsp
  10. Mustard seeds 1tsp
  11. urad dal 1 tsp
  12. Asafoetida/Hing a pinch
  13. Curry leaves a few

Instructions

  1. In a pan, boil water. Soak kurdai in it for some time. I soaked them till I chopped my chillies, onions and coriander. Drain the water off kurdai by transferring to a colander. Fluff slightly with a fork.
  2. Chop onion and green chillies.
  3. In another pan, prepare the tempering with oil, mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves. Add chopped green chillies, urad dal followed by peanuts. Add the onions.Saute.To this add the boiled kurdai. Mix well. Add salt to taste.
  4. Cover and cook for 2 mins. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.

"Kurdai" is a maharashtrain papad made after fermentation of whole wheat. Basically it's the chik English term is milk. Easily available in grocery shops of maharastra.

If u can't and why r u posting receipes we don't know main ingredient kurdai so funny
