Chocolate/Plain Nan Khatai.....

Ingredients to make Chocolate/Plain Nan Khatai.....

  • Plain flour 1 cup
  • semolina 1/2 cup
  • Gram flour/ Besan 1/2 a cup
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil 3/4th cup
  • Caster sugar 1/2 cup or more according to your taste
  • pistachios and almonds as needed

How to make Chocolate/Plain Nan Khatai.....

  1. Combine all the ingredients well together in a mixing bowl and make a dough out of it.
  2. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Add 2 tbsp of cocoa powder to one part and make small balls out of the dough. Flatten them and make a dent by pressing in the centre. Place nuts of your choice in it.
  3. Bake at 180 degrees celsius for 15-18 mins.
  4. Store them in airtight containers and relish for more than 15 days.

My Tip:

No need of any butter here or even baking powder/ soda.
