ABOUT Sweet Samosas/ Gujiyas RECIPE

It's a very easy to prepare dish. For the sheets, you can use flour and the filling is made up of any nuts of your choice.

  1. Samosa sheet Ingredients:
  2. Fine flour 1/2 kg
  3. Clarified butter 3 tbsp
  4. For the Filling:
  5. Milk powder 1/4 kg
  6. Fresh coconut 1 cup (shredded)
  7. Raisins 1/2 cup
  8. Sugar 1/2 cup
  9. Sesame seeds 1/3 cup
  10. Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  11. Kewra essence, a few drops
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. To prepare the samosa sheets, in a mixing bowl add the fine flour, clarified butter and water as required. Knead the flour and set aside for a while.
  2. Then roll the roti with a roller and make a circle shape sheet with the help of a small cup.
  3. To prepare the filling, take a mixing bowl, add the milk powder, sugar, raisins, sesame seeds, coconut, poppy seeds and kewra essence. Mix it well and prepare the filling.
  4. Now put this mixture in samosa sheets and seal it's sides forming the shape of a half moon.
  5. Heat the oil and fry the samosas. Drain the oil on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve it.
