Crispy Garlic Tofu

Ingredients to make Crispy Garlic Tofu

  • 1 large Tofu Packet, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup onions
  • 6-7 cloves of garlic
  • 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • Few slices of ginger
  • 4-5 red chillies
  • 3 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 cup corn flour or corn starch
  • salt to taste

How to make Crispy Garlic Tofu

  1. Take a blender and blend the red chillies with garlic and oil.
  2. To the tofu, add the corn flour so that the tofu is completely coated.
  3. Fry these tofu pieces in hot oil in batches and set it aside.
  4. Take a heavy bottomed non stick pan and saute the onions in it. Add the ground chilli garlic paste and saute it for 2 mins.
  5. Then add the rice vinegar, tomato ketchup and salt. Add little water till the gravy consistency is reached.
  6. Then add tofu and salt to taste. Let the tofu simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with yummy jasmine rice on the side.
