Raw banana fry with tomato

Ingredients to make Raw banana fry with tomato

  • Raw plantain 1
  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tomato, finely chopped

How to make Raw banana fry with tomato

  1. In a pan add enough water, to this add 2 pieces of raw plantain and boil it for 5 minutes. Drain and keep aside. When it is cold, peel the skin and chop into cubes.
  2. Heat a pan, add oil to heat, once the oil is hot add in the mustard seeds, once it starts popping and the finely chopped tomato.
  3. Stir well and add salt to this, then add the chilli powder and turmeric. Next add the chopped raw boiled plantain, stir and add the curry leaves, to this add 1/2 cup of water. Stir and simmer until the plantain is ready.
  4. Sprinkle pepper on top, stir well and the raw plantain fry is ready to be served with sambar rice, rasam or with curd rice as a side dish.
