Dark Chocolate Crunchy Toffees

Ingredients to make Dark Chocolate Crunchy Toffees

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1\2 cup almonds
  • 1\2 cup cashews
  • 1\2 cup raisins
  • 1\2 cup lotus seeds
  • 1\2 cup melon + sunflower seeds
  • 1\2 chopped candied fruits like papaya and pineapple
  • Dark chocholate chips 100 grams
  • 100 grams butter

How to make Dark Chocolate Crunchy Toffees

  1. Boil the water with sugar on a low heat and keep stirring.
  2. Dry roast all the dry fruits, except the raisins in a separate pan for 4-5 minutes to avoid the moisture. Now grind them coarsely.
  3. Boil the sugar syrup till it reaches to a ball making consistency. Add all the dry fruits, chopped candied fruits and raisins to this sugar syrup.
  4. Set it in an already greased pan like the given picture, but do this quickly as this syrup sets very fast. Let this toffee set for 1 hour.
  5. Microwave the butter in a glass bowl and add the chocolate chips to dilute. Keep stirring till it becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Now crack your set toffee and coat little crunchy toffees with dark chocolate solution and refrigerate till 1 hour to set the chocolate over the toffees.
