ABOUT Haryali Moti Biryani with Haryali Raita RECIPE

This biryani is made out of naturally used green paste. The green paste consists of coriander and mint leaves. This biryani makes me proud since I won in the online cookery competition with this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ingredients required for haryali biryani:
  2. 1 cup coriander leaves
  3. 1 cup mint leaves
  4. 2 to 3 green chillies
  5. 1 cup rice
  6. 2 carrots, chopped
  7. 1 onion, chopped
  8. 4 to 5 beans, chopped
  9. 1/2 bowl of peas
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  13. Ingredients for moti:
  14. 1 slab of paneer
  15. 1 tbsp cornflour
  16. Salt to taste
  17. A pinch of garam masala powder
  18. Ingredients for raita:
  19. 2 cups of beaten curd
  20. 1 cup green paste coriander, mint leaves, green chillies)
  21. 2 carrots, chopped
  22. 2 onions, chopped
  23. 1 tomato, chopped
  24. 1 tbsp coriander, chopped
  25. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a cooker, add oil to heat and fry the onions till they are light pink in colour, then add the green paste (coriander, mint leaves, green chillies). Keep stirring till the oil separates itself.
  2. Then add the vegetables, carrot, beans, peas, salt and keep stirring. Then add the garam masala powder. Add in the rice, water, salt and pressure cook it till 3 whistles blow.
  3. To prepare the moti, in a bowl add the paneer, cornflour, salt, garam masala powder and mix it well. Make a round shape and deep fry it.
  4. Then take it out in a plate and add silver wark on it.
  5. To prepare the haryali raita, in a bowl add the beaten curd, salt, green paste (coriander, mint leaves, green chillies).
  6. Then add the chopped carrots, coriander, tomato and onions. Mix it well together.
  7. Take a plate and serve the biryani in it decorated with moti and raita on the side.
