Ingredients to make Olive Alleskaran

  • olives 1 cup (seeded or deseeded as per your choice )
  • 3/4 cup cheese
  • 2 tbsp green bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • olive oil to fry
  • 2 eggs for egg wash or 1/4 cup refined flour and 1/4 cup water for the batter
  • 1 cup bread crumbs

How to make Olive Alleskaran

  1. Peel the olives and deseed it with a deep cut. (if olives are seeded)
  2. Soak the peeled olives in water for 2 mins. If the olives are tin packed, drain the water and keep it aside to dry.
  3. Make an egg wash or a batter of refined flour with water and salt in a bowl. Spread the bread crumbs in a large plate.
  4. Add the cheese, green bell pepper, onion, chilli flakes, salt, oregano, black pepper in a bowl and mix all these ingredients.
  5. Take one small spoon of cheese, mix and stuff a little pizza sauce in the inside and make a ball that is the size of an olive.
  6. Now take one olive and stuff this cheese ball in it. Then dip this stuffed olive into the egg wash or refined flour batter, then roll it on the bread crumbs softly. Repeat this process with all the olives.
  7. Heat olive oil in a kadhai and fry all these stuffed olives till they turn golden in colour.
  8. Serve them hot with tomato sauce.

My Tip:

You can add more of pizza ingredients as per your choice like non veg or tomatoes.
