Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 katori/bowl of poha/ flattened rice
  2. 1/2 katori/ bowl of peanuts
  3. 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  4. Few curry leaves
  5. 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  6. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  7. Salt and red chilli powder as per taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the poha and keep it aside. Also chop the curry leaves.
  2. Heat 2-3 tablespoons oil in a pan and crackle 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds in it. Now add in the chopped curry leaves and wait till they become crisp.
  3. Now fry peanuts in this oil, add salt and red chilli powder as per your taste. Also add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  4. Mix well and add the dry poha to this. Keep the flame on simmer and roast this mixture for about 15 minutes.
  5. Let it cool and mix 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar and store it in an airtight container.
