Ingredients to make Fish Fry

  • Pomfret/ Seer fish 1/4 kg
  • Marination Ingredients:
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder 2-3 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi 1/4 tsp
  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour 2-3 tsp
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry

How to make Fish Fry

  1. Wash and clean the fish well.
  2. Mix the marination ingredients well together with the fish and leave it to marinate in a bowl. Leave it in the fridge for 2 hours.
  3. After this time, heat the oil in a non-stick skillet and shallow fry the fish pieces.
  4. Serve it hot with steamed rice, sambhar or rasam. It makes a great combination.

My Tip:

Overnight marination of the fish makes it much tastier.
