Ingredients to make Paan Delight

  • Sweet betel leaves/ mitha paan (5 nos)
  • Rose petal jam / gulkhand ( 1 tablespoon)
  • Sugar ( 2-3 tsp)
  • cardamom ( 4-5 nos)
  • Khus syrup ( 2 tsp)
  • Dried cherry ( for garnishing)
  • Water ( 2 cups)
  • Ice cubes ( as required)

How to make Paan Delight

  1. Take betal leaves and chop it roughly.
  2. Now take a rolling board. Put chopped betel leaves on it. With a rolling pin crush the betel leaves properly. You can also use grinder.
  3. When the betel leaves are almost crushed, add cardamom, gulkhand, sugar in it. Crush all the ingredients together properly
  4. Once all the ingredients are crushed. Keep it aside
  5. Now take a jug or a large glass, put the crushed paan mixture into it
  6. Pour khus syrup over it. Now add 1 cup water and mix it properly with a help of a spoon.
  7. Now add another cup of water and mix it again till all the sugar is dissolved.
  8. Once all the sugar is dissolved. Strain it.
  9. Take a glass. fill half of the glass with ice cubes. Now put some gulkhand on it
  10. Pour the strained paan water over it
  11. Serve asap

My Tip:

Crushing the betal leaves with rolling pin is a better option than crushing it with a grinder. As crushing with grinder wont give the fragnance of betal leaves properly
