Rich creamy mango mousse served in edible chocolate cups that are topped with fresh fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Dark chocolate: 1 and 1/2 cup
  2. Whipping cream (I used amul cream): 2 cups
  3. Icing sugar: 1 and 1/2 cup
  4. Mango essence: 2 tsp (or as per requirement)
  5. Yellow food colour: few drops
  6. Fresh fruit (thinly sliced) 1 cup [I used kiwi, apple, mango and pomegranate]

Instructions

  1. On a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate, temper it and coat it nicely on the round silicon mould.
  2. Make sure there are no gaps left. Allow it to chill in the refrigerator (do not chill it in the freezer).
  3. In order to assure even coating you can once again apply some more chocolate on the dried coating and finally chill it in the refrigerator.
  4. In a bowl beat the cream until soft peaks form. Then add the mango essence and yellow food colour and beat till stiff peaks form. Allow it to chill for a while in the freezer.
  5. After 15-20 mins, take out the cream and fill in the piping bag ( with a star shaped nozzle) with cream.
  6. Carefully take out the chocolate cups from the mould on the tray. Do not use excess pressure. Now carefully fill the chocolate cups with mango mousse with the help of a piping bag.
  7. Decorate with thinly sliced fruits on top. Let it chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
