Desi Chana Kabab with Curd Coriander Chutney

Ingredients to make Desi Chana Kabab with Curd Coriander Chutney

  • 1 cup desi chana/ chickpeas, soaked overnight in water
  • 4 potatoes, boiled
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 inch ginger piece, chopped
  • Spices as red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chaat masala 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Bread crumbs made from 2 breads
  • oil for frying

How to make Desi Chana Kabab with Curd Coriander Chutney

  1. Soak the desi chana overnight. Then drain the water and grind it in the mixer.
  2. Take a bowl, put in the grounded mixture along with the boiled potatoes, other ingredients, salt and bread crumbs. Mash it properly and make balls out of it.
  3. Fry it in hot oil from both the sides till it turns golden brown in colour.
  4. To make the chutney, make normal green coriander chutney and add curd in it. Your chutney is ready!
  5. Serve it hot with chutney.

My Tip:

The frying should be done when the oil is hot. Put the balls in it and simmer the gas, fry till it is golden brown in colour.
