Tuna Tangy Pasta

Ingredients to make Tuna Tangy Pasta

  • 200 gms Delmonte Penne Pasta
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil of choice
  • 1 tin canned Tuna in brine
  • 1 big sized capsicum
  • 1-2 carrots
  • 1 tsp garlic, crushed
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 spring onions
  • Few basil leaves
  • 1-2 celery sticks
  • 1 sprig of parsely
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp tomato chilli ketchup (Delmonte)
  • 1 tsp Paprika

How to make Tuna Tangy Pasta

  1. Boil the penne pasta in salt water with a little oil for 15 minutes.
  2. Chop the veggies, spring onions and tomatoes in square shapes.
  3. Remove the pasta and let it cool in the same water while it's covered (On doing this, they bloat well and become soft.)
  4. Remove the tuna fish from the brine in a bowl and throw away the brine.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, stir fry the crushed garlic and spring onions.
  6. Add the tomatoes, veggies, celery sticks with leaves, salt and pepper. Then add the chilli sauce to this mixture and sprinkle paprika on top.
  7. Add basil leaves, stir fry then add the tuna fish and mix it lightly.
  8. Keep the boiled pasta in your serving bowl and top this lightly with the tuna veggie mixture.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve.

My Tip:

Chilli sauce addition is optional. Boil the penne well and top it with the tuna mixture. Grating cheese on top is optional.
