Aloo Poha is a simple tasty breakfast, dinner, or a simple tea time snack. It is made of pressed rice, potatoes, onions, and spices. It can also be carried in the snack box.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Poha- 2 cups
  2. Potato - 1 no
  3. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Green chillies, chopped - 2 nos
  6. Ginger, chopped - 1 tsp
  7. Few Curry Leaves
  8. Peanuts - 2 tbsp
  9. Onion - 1 no
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Sugar - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Oil as required

Instructions

  1. Cook the potato. Cut into small cubes and keep aside. Soak the poha with little water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Then add the green chillies and ginger. Saute it well. Now add the peanuts and roast till it's crispy.
  3. Next add the onion and saute. Once the onion turns light brown, add in the turmeric powder and potatoes. Mix it well. Then add sugar and stir. Add poha and and mix it well once again.
  4. Serve it hot for best taste.
