Vermicelli Kheer

Ingredients to make Vermicelli Kheer

  • 100 gm Vermicelli
  • 1 litre milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Dry fruits, handful
  • 1 tsp ghee

How to make Vermicelli Kheer

  1. In a thick bottomed pan, add ghee and roast the vermicelli till it turns golden brown in colour.
  2. Then pour in the milk and bring it to a boil.
  3. Let it boil on a medium flame for 10 mins while stirring occasionally in between.
  4. Then add sugar and cardamom powder, mix well and let it boil for another 5 mins.
  5. Finally add the dry fruits and turn off the flame. Cover it in half and let it cool for sometime.
  6. It can be served hot but it tastes best when served chilled.

My Tip:

You can add saffron strands. Instead of cardamon, jaifal can be added.
