Cake Rusk Shahi Tukde

Ingredients to make Cake Rusk Shahi Tukde

  • 1 packet of readymade cake rusk from the bakery
  • butter about 3 to 4 tbsp to roast the rusk
  • Milk powder about 3 tbsp
  • Nuts of your choice 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Milk about 1 litre, reduced to half after boiling it and simmering it to making the rabri
  • saffron strands, a few soaked in a little milk and add it to the rabri

How to make Cake Rusk Shahi Tukde

  1. Boil the milk and reduce it to half of it's quantity bringing it to a rabri consistency.
  2. Add the milk powder to it while boiling. Then add the cardamom powder and the saffron strands to it.
  3. Keep the rabri aside. Then let it chill in the fridge.
  4. Next roast the cake rusk in the butter few pieces at a time in a non-stick pan.
  5. To assemble, place the rusk side by side and pour the chilled rabri over it.
  6. Garnish it with loads of nuts.
  7. Serve it chilled or hot as desired.
