Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Milk -1 liter
  2. Sugar- 250 gm
  3. Flour- 2 tbsp
  4. Ghee to deep fry

Instructions

  1. To prepare the malpuas, first boil the milk on a low flame and keep stirring.
  2. Let it thicken in consistency to half of it's original volume, then keep it aside to cool.
  3. Dissolve the sugar in 2-3 cups of water. Keep aside 2 tbsp of this mixture. Make the syrup of 1 thread consistency by boiling, then pour it into a serving dish.
  4. Add flour and 2 tbsp of sugar to the milk to thicken it further. Stir till it is completely smooth in texture.
  5. Mix well to form a batter of pouring consistency. Then add more flour to adjust the consistency of the batter. (If required, add a bit of milk as well.)
  6. Heat ghee in a deep frying pan. Pour in a spoonful of the batter to form a circle shape.
  7. Fry it slowly while turning on both sides till it turns brown in colour. Then drain them and place it in the syrup to soak.
  8. Continue this procedure for the remaining batter.
  9. Garnish it with little chopped pistachios and whole almonds.
