ABOUT Moong Dal Raita RECIPE

This is a traditional raita in Karnataka which is called Kosambari in the regional language Kannada. It is loaded with crunchy moong dal, carrot and cucumber. It is an ideal comfort meal that I have learnt from my mother.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal 1/2 cup
  2. Carrot 1, grated
  3. Cucumber 1, grated
  4. Buttermilk or thin curd 1 cup
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Green chillies 2-3

Instructions

  1. Soak the moong dal in butter milk for 30 minutes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Next, add in the chopped green chillies, grated carrots, grated cucumber and salt.
  3. Serve it immediately.
