Roasted Chicken in Ghee

Ingredients to make Roasted Chicken in Ghee

  • 500 gms chicken
  • 2-3 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 4 Kashmiri mirch
  • 2 Lal mirch
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • salt to taste

How to make Roasted Chicken in Ghee

  1. Take the masala seeds, kashmiri mirch and lal mirch in a pan and roast them for a few minutes.
  2. Then add them to a mixer jar and grind to make a fine powder. Mix the ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and a little water to make a paste. Marinate the chicken in this paste and salt. Keep it aside for 30 mins.
  3. Add ghee in a pan and fry the finely chopped onions, then add the finely chopped tomatoes in it and saute for a few minutes.
  4. Add in the chicken with a little water so that the chicken gets cooked all over. Then add some curry leaves and sugar thereafter. Cook for 10-15 mins until the chicken pieces become tender.
  5. Serve it hot with phulka.
