Eggless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  • maida 1 cup
  • sugar powdered 1 cup or a little less than 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • curd 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Chocolate sauce as required
  • walnuts 4-5

How to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat the cooker without whistle with some salt and the lid closed on a medium flame for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add sugar, curd, milk and chocolate sauce with a beater till all the ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Add baking powder, baking soda, maida and butter. Again beat till a smooth batter is formed.
  4. Grease the mould with butter and a little maida, pour the batter and tap the mould to remove any air bubbles.
  5. Add chopped walnuts over the batter.
  6. Place a stand in the cooker, keep the mould and close the lid of the cooker.
  7. On a low flame, bake for 45 to 50 minutes till a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  8. Turn off the gas.
  9. Open the cooker after 5 minutes and take out the mould.
  10. Demould the cake, after it is completely cooled cut into slices and pour some chocolate sauce over it.
