Ingredients to make Slow cooked Chicken Tikka Masala (NO OIL)

  • chicken pieces 500 gm
  • yoghurt/Curd 1 cup
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion 200 gm
  • tomato puree 200 gm
  • Minced garlic 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
  • Chopped green chilies 4-5
  • Garam masala 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
  • turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder 1+1/2 tablespoons
  • flour 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar for balance, 1 - 1/2 tsp

How to make Slow cooked Chicken Tikka Masala (NO OIL)

  1. Take a non stick pan and put the chicken pieces in them.
  2. Mix them with the flour and salt properly.
  3. Next add all the ingredients except curd and fresh cream and mix them properly.
  4. Set the flame in mild and cook the whole thing using a lid.
  5. At intervals check out the chicken removing the lid so that it doesn't stick to the bottom much.
  6. When almost cooked add the curd, sugar (as per taste) and fresh cream and cook for few more minutes till done.
  7. Serve after garnishing with some chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with your main course.

My Tip:

Check the pan after every 2 minutes to prevent the thing from burning and use a proper non sticky pan. Adjust the flame as per the cooking time.
