ABOUT Slow cooked Chicken Tikka Masala (NO OIL) RECIPE

Hassle free recipe of chicken slow cooked in a thick tomato puree base with no oil.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken pieces 500 gm
  2. Yoghurt/Curd 1 cup
  3. Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped onion 200 gm
  5. Tomato puree 200 gm
  6. Minced garlic 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
  7. Chopped green chilies 4-5
  8. Garam masala 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
  9. Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  10. Red chili powder 1+1/2 tablespoons
  11. Flour 1 tablespoon
  12. Chopped coriander leaves
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. Sugar for balance, 1 - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a non stick pan and put the chicken pieces in them.
  2. Mix them with the flour and salt properly.
  3. Next add all the ingredients except curd and fresh cream and mix them properly.
  4. Set the flame in mild and cook the whole thing using a lid.
  5. At intervals check out the chicken removing the lid so that it doesn't stick to the bottom much.
  6. When almost cooked add the curd, sugar (as per taste) and fresh cream and cook for few more minutes till done.
  7. Serve after garnishing with some chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with your main course.
