Kuchchi Dabeli

Ingredients to make Kuchchi Dabeli

  • 8 pav
  • 4 medium sized potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 tbsp dabeli masala (if you don't have dabeli masala grind some aloo bhujia or bhujia sev and use it)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp meethi chutney
  • 2 tbsp green chutney
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Fresh grated coconut
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds
  • 1 medium sized onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 4 tsp nylon sev
  • butter for cooking
  • salt to taste

How to make Kuchchi Dabeli

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add boiled potatoes, dabeli masala and salt. Mix well. Stir for 2 minutes, mix 1 spoon of water and stir again.
  2. Take a pav and slit it. Apply green or garlic chutney on one side and meethi chutney on the other side of the pav.
  3. Stuff with potatoes, chopped onion, peanuts, pomegranate seeds, sev, coconut. Repeat with the remaining pav to make more dabeli.
  4. To serve hot, put dabeli using butter for a minute on a hot tava.
