Cheese Corn Cigars

Ingredients to make Cheese Corn Cigars

  • 1 cup boiled potatoes (mashed)
  • 1 cup boiled corn kernels
  • 1 stock cube
  • 1/2 tsp chilly flakes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs/ oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbs refined flour
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 cubes processed cheese
  • salt to taste

How to make Cheese Corn Cigars

  1. Mix together the potatoes, corn, stock cube, chilly flakes, garlic paste, oregano and salt.
  2. Cut the cheese cube into 1/2 cm thick strips.
  3. Take about 2 tbs of the mashed potato -corn mixture, keep a piece of the cheese in the middle and shape into cigars.
  4. Roll each cigar in refined flour, then coat with lightly beaten egg and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Keep in the freezer for 10 -15 mins. Deep fry on medium heat till golden brown.

My Tip:

Can be stored for a few days in the freezer in a ziplock bag. To be fried directly when needed without thawing.
