ABOUT Coconut Chocolate Macaroons RECIPE

Very easy to make and yummy to eat. It is one of my son's favorite. I learned it from one of my german friend.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 3 cup coconut flakes
  2. 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  3. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  4. 3 egg whites
  5. 2 cups chocolate chips
  6. pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degree centigrade.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk with coconut flakes, vanilla extract and salt. Mix well.
  3. Place the egg white into another mixing bowl whisk well, gently pour the egg white in to coconut mixture, mix well and make a dough.
  4. Take a small portion of the dough with the help of spoon out on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or till it looks golden brown in colour.
  6. Remove from the oven and transfer it on a cooling rack, let it cool.
  7. Melt semi sweet chocolate chips in microwave, place the melted chocolate into zip lock bag and drizzle just on top of the cookies in chocolate. Keep in air tight container when chocolate sets.
