ABOUT Idli Starter RECIPE

Tangy coconut chutney to spread on idli.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rawa
  2. 1 cup curd
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Eno salt 1 sachet
  5. 1 tsp oil
  6. Water as required
  7. Grated coconut 1 cup
  8. Green chilli 2
  9. Small bunch of coriander
  10. 1/2 inch ginger
  11. 1 tsp Tamarind pulp
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. For Tempering : Curry leaves and Whole red chillies

Instructions

  1. Mix rawa and curd. Keep aside for 3 minutes, add salt and eno salt, mix well.
  2. Add some water for consistency of the idli batter.
  3. Pour in the greased idli moulds and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. For the chutney: Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend well, add water if required. Temper with curry leaves and whole red chilli.
