ABOUT Chatpattey Coconut Kebab RECIPE

Very yummy delicious flavour comes out of the kebabs, the coconut twist given to the kebab is commendable.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 3 Carrots
  2. 2 Potatoes
  3. 100 gm Spinach
  4. 50 gm Coriander
  5. 3 Green chilli
  6. 1 tsp Black pepper
  7. 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp Red chilli, crushed
  9. 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  10. 3 Eggs
  11. 3/4 cup refined Flour
  12. 300 gm coconut, desiccated
  13. For Pinenut sauce:
  14. 3 tbsp pine nuts
  15. 2 tbsp ginger chopped
  16. 100 gm mint
  17. 2 tbsp cornflour

Instructions

  1. Boil all the vegetables and mash well. Put all the spices and mix again.
  2. Make tikkis of the mixture. Coat them first with a mixture of whisked eggs, refined flour and then in desiccated coconut.
  3. Finally pan fry them and serve them with pine nut sauce.
  4. For the sauce: Crush the pine nuts. Add ginger, mint and red chilli and crush together. Cook by adding a little water for 5 minutes.. Add cornflour for thickness. Cool and then serve.
