About NARIYAL BARFI Recipe

This is a self adapted recipe . It is one of my favourite sweet . Used to get it from market often . But once I made it at home n trust me after that I have never ever had the market ones .

NARIYAL BARFI

Ingredients to make NARIYAL BARFI

  • 250 gms khoya
  • 200 gms dessicated coconut
  • 1and half cup powdered sugar
  • 1 and half cup milk
  • Pinch of food colour ( pink)

How to make NARIYAL BARFI

  1. Soften khoya in a kadai along with sugar and milk on low flame .
  2. Add desiccated coconut mix well . Cook for around 7-8 mts on low flame .
  3. Then for around 2 mts on high flame so that moisture evaporates from it .
  4. Now separate this in two halves
  5. Mix pink food color ( diluted in 1 spoon milk) in half of it and stirr well so thst it mixes evenly .
  6. Now take a greased tray.... Spread the mixture widout color on it evenly .
  7. Then spread the pink mixture on it evenly .
  8. Level it wid a spatula to form an evn layer . Sprinkle dessicated coconut on it .
  9. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours ... Cut into desired shape and serve .
