Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Masoor dal ( orange) 1/2 cup
  2. Moong dal ( yellow) 1/2 cup
  3. Onion Chopped 1 medium sized
  4. Tomatoe chopped 1 medium
  5. Ginger and garlic chopped 2 tbsp
  6. Ghee 3 tbsp
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  8. Degi mirch 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1 1/2 tsp
  10. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  11. Green chillies chopped 2-3
  12. Methi leaves 1 tbsp
  13. Water 4 cups or as required
  14. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  15. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds,ginger , chillies garlic,turmeric, onions saute till translucent , then add tomatoes saute till oil separates
  2. Add washed dal, salt methi leaves, water cover cook till done or one whistle
  3. Open lid when pressure is released on its on ,add coriander leaves
