Ingredients to make Sweet pulao (Kesari bath)

  • Cooked basumati rice 1 1/2cups
  • sugar 1 cup
  • Fresh grated coconut 1/2 cup
  • Khoya 2tbsp
  • ghee 2tbsp
  • saffron 3 to 4 dtrands
  • Orange food colour 1tsp
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Dry fruits chopped1/2 cup (Cashew nuts ,Almonds ,raisins and pistachios )

How to make Sweet pulao (Kesari bath)

  1. Soak the rice for 30 minute, and boil 3 cup of water in a vessel add soaked rice and cook till it's done little tender
  2. Strain the rice and take in a mixing bowl add 1tbsp of ghee and 1 cup sugar mix well.keep aside
  3. In another bowl add milk and safron and food colour mix well keep aside.
  4. Heat a pan add ghee and all dry fruits fry till golden in colour.
  5. Add the milk mixture into it cook for a minute.
  6. Now add khoya and grated coconut mix well.
  7. Now add into cooked rice mix well care shoud be taken the rcie grains should not be broken.
  8. Cook for 5 minutes with lid cover and serve hot or cold.Enjoyee

My Tip:

Rice mixture should not be over cooked becouse the sugar will turn into syrup.
