Potato corn tikkis

Ingredients to make Potato corn tikkis

  • potato - 3, boiled and mashed
  • Sweet corn kernels - 1/2 cup
  • Green peas - 1/4 cup
  • onions - 1 , finely chopped
  • green chillies - 2, finely chopped
  • ginger, finely chopped - 2 tsp
  • garlic, finely chopped - 2 tsp
  • Channa masala powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil, for pan frying

How to make Potato corn tikkis

  1. In a bowl, add the boiled and mashed potatoes, finely chopped onions, sweet corn kernels, peas, green chillies, ginger, garlic and mix really well.
  2. Add the channa masala powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  3. Check for seasoning and adjust to your taste.
  4. Next, add the corn flour and rice flour for binding.
  5. While the tawa/pan heats, make little tikkis out of the potato mixture.
  6. Pan fry them with very little oil.
  7. Let them cook for three minutes each side.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint-chilli chutney.
