Modak with a Twist

Ingredients to make Modak with a Twist

  • 1 cup coconut powder
  • 2 cups makai flour.
  • 1 cup ragi/nachni flour
  • 50gms badam powdered.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp khuskhus
  • handful of dry eating gum
  • 4 pinch of jaihal
  • 2 clove lavang
  • 1/4 tsp Dry ginger Powder
  • 2-3 straw from javitri flower
  • 6-7 green elachi
  • 50 gms kishmish
  • 1 cup ghee +1/2cup oil

How to make Modak with a Twist

  1. 1=now take mixi dry masala jar,add elachi,khuskhus,javitri,lavang jaiphal,badam,dry ginger grind to powder.keep aside
  2. 2=take fried gum and sugar grind to powder.keep aside.
  3. 3= take broad heavy bottom pan.
  4. 4=add 2tsp ghee fry dry gum on slow flame.keep aside to cool.
  5. 5=same pan add more ghee and add ragi/nachni flour and makai flour.
  6. 6=roast on slow flame for10 mins.
  7. 7= add coconut powder roast with both the flour.
  8. 8=add grounded dry masalas.
  9. 9=till u fill the smell of roasted flour.around 15-20 mins..
  10. 10=cool until, easy to handle churma in your hand.
  11. 11=now take the roasted flour mix,add kishmish,powder sugar and gum powder
  12. 12=mix both together now take modak shaper make modak.
