Ingredients to make Coconut and Kesar Truffles

  • For the khoya filling :
  • Milk Powder - 1 cup
  • ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • sugar - 4 tbsp
  • kesar a few pinches
  • For Home made condensed milk :
  • Milk - 2 1/2 cups
  • sugar - 3/4 cup
  • butter - 1 tbsp
  • Other Ingredients :
  • Desiccated coconut powder 1 packet
  • almonds a handful

How to make Coconut and Kesar Truffles

  1. Mix the milk powder, milk and ghee together to form a paste.
  2. Heat this in a pan, stir and cook till it forms a thick mawa.
  3. Add the sugar and keep stirring till it dissolves and thickens.
  4. Powder the kesar and add it to the mawa, mix. Keep aside.
  5. Heat the milk and sugar together, cook till it thickens. It takes about 35-40 minutes.
  6. Add the butter, stir and turn off the flame. Cool it. Make all balls of the Kesar Mawa mixture, place one almond in the center and reshape them.
  7. Dip these balls in the cold condensed milk and coat them with coconut powder. Chill and serve.
