Khasta Besan Kachoris

Ingredients to make Khasta Besan Kachoris

  • all purpose flour 2 cups
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Oil or ghee 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup or as needed
  • For the filling: gram flour or besan 1 cup
  • asafoetida 1/4 Tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • coriander seeds crushed 1 tsp
  • fennel seeds crushed 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Chilli flakes or red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • turmeric a pinch
  • lemon juice 2 tbsp

How to make Khasta Besan Kachoris

  1. Heat the oil, add the cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  2. Roast the gram flour until it gives a nice aroma on a low flame.
  3. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
  4. Make small puris and fill them up as shown in the images.
  5. Make a small ball like shape and either roll up again into a little wider circle or press down with the hand and seal them up nicely.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil.
  7. Serve hot.
