Ingredients to make Cucumber Raita Mangalore style

  • cucumber 1 big
  • coconut fresh grated 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli 1
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp + 1/4 tsp
  • oil 1 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • curry leaves a few
  • yoghurt or curd 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Cucumber Raita Mangalore style

  1. Wash, peel and cut the cucumber into small pieces.
  2. Grind coconut, green chilli and half a teaspoon of mustard seeds to a paste.
  3. Make seasoning. Take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, as they crackle, remove and put the curry leaves and asafoetida.
  4. Take a bowl. Add the cucumber pieces, ground paste, salt and seasoning.
  5. Whisk the curds and mix it in the bowl of ingredients.
  6. Serve with hot rice along with a dollop of ghee.

My Tip:

If you want more spicy,add another green chilly.
