Lal Bhopala (Red Pumpkin) Bhaji

Ingredients to make Lal Bhopala (Red Pumpkin) Bhaji

  • Red pumpkin (lal bhopala) 250 gm
  • Green chilli paste as per taste
  • salt as per taste
  • fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves a few
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Ground coconut 1
  • garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Badi shep (saunf) 1/2 tsp
  • Cooking oil as required

How to make Lal Bhopala (Red Pumpkin) Bhaji

  1. Cut pumpkin in cubes. Remove pumpkin slate and all the sticky innermost part of pumpkin.
  2. Take a cooking pan and pour oil in it for tadka.
  3. Add mustard seeds, fenugreek, saunf and cumin seeds.
  4. Add garlic paste. Fry till it turns brown.
  5. Add chilli paste and coriander leaves. Saute for 1 minute. Add in ground coconut.
  6. Add salt as per your taste.
  7. Add pumpkin cubes and cook it for 15 minutes or till the cubes get soft.
  8. Serve it hot with roti.

My Tip:

Garnish with coconut and coriander.
