Coconut Rice

Ingredients to make Coconut Rice

  • Boiled basmati rice 3 cup
  • Grated fresh coconut 1 cup
  • A pinch of hing
  • urad dal 1 tsp
  • Curry patta a few
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Oil or ghee 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Green chili 1

How to make Coconut Rice

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, hing and urad dal. Fry for a few minutes.
  2. Add curry patta, green chili and coconut.
  3. Again fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add in the rice, salt and mix well.
  5. Cover it and cook on low fire for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
