Coconut Mice

Ingredients to make Coconut Mice

  • coconut, scraped - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • sugar (Powdered) - 1/3 cup
  • Green cardamom - 1/2 tsp
  • ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Chocolate chips - a few pieces
  • Jelly candy - 1 or 2 (cut into very small pieces)
  • Dry Maggie (Strings) as required
  • almonds 4-6 (cut into 4 pieces)

How to make Coconut Mice

  1. Take a heavy bottomed wok. Heat ghee in it.
  2. Add coconut and cook on a low heat till the coconut is well done.
  3. Add green cardamom powder and milk. Mix well and cook.
  4. When it begins to form halwa, turn off the flame.
  5. Let it cool slightly then add sugar. Mix well.
  6. Take 1 spoonful mixture on your palm. Roll it in the oval shape (not proper round).
  7. Put chocolate chips in the place of eyes. Put a small piece of jelly for the nose.
  8. Put chopped almonds in place of the ears.
  9. Take a small string of Maggie to make the tail.

My Tip:

If you do not have chocolate chips then you can use chocolate biscuits (very small pieces) for the eyes.
