Vanilla cake topped with coconut to make a birds nest.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Maida - 2 tbsp
  2. Malai - 1 tsp
  3. Sugar powder - 1 tsp
  4. Milk as required
  5. Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  7. Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
  8. Oil for greasing
  9. Coconut powder 4 tsp
  10. Chocolate powder - 2 tsp
  11. Whipped cream as required
  12. Gems for decorating

Instructions

  1. First take maida, mix baking powder and soda. Sieve it 4 times.
  2. Take malai, mix sugar powder and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix maida one by one teaspoon in the sweet malai and add milk together.
  4. Make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  5. Pour it in greased tin and bake it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool the cake and de mould it.
  7. Take coconut powder and saute it for few minutes. Add chocolate powder and let it cool.
  8. Spread whipped cream on the cake, sprinkle chocolate coconut powder on the cake and make a birds nest. Put gems in the center.
