Aaloo Palak

Ingredients to make Aaloo Palak

  • spinach (Palak) 1/2 kg
  • potatoes 4-5 medium
  • garlic cloves 5-6
  • tomatoes 2
  • green chillies 4
  • oil for deep frying 2 tbsp and more
  • salt as per taste
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Aaloo Palak

  1. Wash and chop your spinach properly. Peel and cut potatoes into cubes. Cut garlic, tomatoes and green chillies.
  2. In a kadhai heat 2 tbsp oil. Add in garlic, saute till becomes lightly brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
  4. Add salt, red chilly powder and turmeric powder.
  5. Cook till tomatoes are soft, add chopped spinach in it and mix well.
  6. Let it cook till the spinach is cooked well.
  7. While the spinach is cooking, in an another pan heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
  8. Deep fry the potato cubes and take out on a napkin.
  9. Add in the fried potatoes in the cooked spinach.
  10. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
  11. Serve hot.

My Tip:

You can increase the quantity of ingredients as per your taste and choice.
