Ingredients to make Dodkyache Thalipeeth (Ridge guard thalipeeth)

  • Mix flour( Rice Maize Besan Jowar Wheat ) 2 tbsp each.
  • 1 cup of Dodka paste/grated dodka
  • ginger-garlic paste 1tsp
  • onion chopped 1tbsp
  • red chilly powder 1tbsp
  • garam masala 1/2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • cumin and coriander seeds powder 1tsp
  • curry leaves 5-6
  • green chillies 2 nos
  • coriander & mint leaves
  • water (as per need)
  • salt to taste

How to make Dodkyache Thalipeeth (Ridge guard thalipeeth)

  1. 1. Take dodka & peel it. In mixer add dodka pieces , ginger-garlic paste, chopped onion, coriander and mint leaves, curry leaves,green chillies,all masala powders, salt and grind them to make smooth paste. Add little water if needed.
  2. 2.Mix all flours (2 tbsp of each flour) and add the dodka mixture into it.
  3. 3. Mix it nicely to form a dough and add little water if needed.As we need the mixture consistency little thinner than the chapati/cookie dough and thicker than a cake mix.
  4. 4.Pour a little oil on a pan. Place a cup of dough on the oil. Spread it with hands to form a pancake of desired size and thickness. Make a few holes on the pancake.
  5. 5.Add some oil in the holes. Place on medium heat. cover & cook until brown spots appear.Turn side and cook cover.
  6. 6.Serve it with coconut chuttney or dahi/curd
