Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chicken -500gms
  2. Coconut freshly scrapped - 1/4 she'll,
  3. Poppy seeds - 2tsp,
  4. Clove -1,
  5. Cardamom -1,
  6. Onion -1 sliced into four,
  7. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp,
  8. Cinnamon -1/4 inch,
  9. Curry leaves, - 1 stem,
  10. Coriander powder -2tsp,
  11. Chilli powder - 2tsp,
  12. Salt as per taste,
  13. turmeric powder a pinch
  14. Oil -2 tsp,
  15. Water - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Dry roast coconut, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, onion, poppy seeds, and grind it along with ginger garlic paste to make a paste adding a little water.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure pan, add the grounded paste of coconut and fry on a moderate flame till the rawness of the masala leaves, now add the cleaned chicken to it along with coriander, turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
  3. Fry the chicken on a low flame till the oil oozes out, now add a cup of water and cover the lid pressure cook till the chicken is done soft (For 2 whistles)
  4. Serve the gravy hot with soft steaming idlis.
