Coconut Kalakand

Ingredients to make Coconut Kalakand

  • 2 liter milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ghee
  • 10 pistachios roughly chopped
  • 10 almond roughly chopped
  • 10 cashewnuts roughly chopped

How to make Coconut Kalakand

  1. Boil 1 liter milk in a large thick- heavy bottom pan.
  2. Add the lemon juice to it.
  3. Once the cheapest separate from the milk sieves the mixture with clean cheesecloth and strain excess water.
  4. Wash it under fresh running water.
  5. Boil another liter of milk till it reduces to half.
  6. Keep on stirring the milk with a spoon.
  7. Next add the chena to the milk n stir it continously.
  8. Next cook the mixture till its get thick and look like khoya.
  9. Next add the sugar and coconut powder to it and stir the mixture.
  10. Cook it till the mixture reaches the cosistensy of making a burfi.
  11. Grease the thali with ghee. Pour the mixture into the thali.
  12. Leave to set for a few hours in a cool.
  13. Next sprinkle the dry fruits on top. Cut it into your desire shape.
