Besan ka cheela

Ingredients to make Besan ka cheela

  • besan (gram) flour- 100g
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • oil for frying
  • salt acc. to taste

How to make Besan ka cheela

  1. Combine the besan, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt in a bowl and mix well, pour adequate amount of water to make a thick batter. Rest the mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  2. In the mean while heat a griddle over medium heat. Smear with ghee or oil and ladle a small portion of the batter, spread it out like a pancake.
  3. Drizzle some more oil on the sides.Roast till crisp and golden.Serve hot.

My Tip:

a smear of spicy Gujarati garlic pickle.

Add chopped onion in mixture. It will give good taste.
