Ingredients to make Home made stuffed baked mini buns

  • For buns –1ĵ teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • about 1/2 cup hot water or as required
  • 3 cups refined flour
  • To brush -1egg mixture or 1/4cup milk
  • For the filling-1cup prepared white sauce
  • Cheese
  • Black Olives
  • 2 tbsps boiled corn kernnels
  • To garnish – carrot flowers
  • parsley
  • cucumber
  • basil leaves as per choice
  • cherry tomatoes as per choice
  • To sprinkle: 1tsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 Tsp Jalapeño

How to make Home made stuffed baked mini buns

  1. For the buns – In a large mixing bowl combine yeast, sugar and salt. Add butter, then hot water.
  2. Mix in 1/2 cup flour. Continue to add remaining flour, as needed, one cup at a time. Mix well.
  3. Turn onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth. Shape into a ball and turn in a greased bowl.
  4. Cover with a damp towel; allow to rise for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Lightly knead the dough to punch out the gas. Divide the dough into small balls of 10g each.
  6. Roll the balls round and place them in a greased baking tray 1cm apart.Cover with cling wrap and leave for another 30 minutes until doubled in size..
  7. Brush the top with egg mixture or milk. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes or till done .
  8. How to assemble –Combine all the filling ingredients .Scoop out the buns and fill the filling in cavity.
  9. Bake in pre-heated oven at 180 degreec for 5 minutes.Top with cherry tomatoes and sprinkle Red chilli flakes and oregano.
  10. Garnish with carrot flowers, parsley, cucumber flag , basil leaves .
My Tip: Serve with tomato ketchup, you can make buns and white sauce before -assemble and bake at the time of serving. Filling breakfast. You can add vegetables of choice to the white sauce.
