Ingredients to make Smoky Grilled Tandoori Chicken

  • Whole chicken 2 (cut into 4 pieces)
  • For the Marination:
  • curd 1 cup (thick)
  • cream 3 tbsp
  • red chilli powder 3 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Tandoori chicken masala 3 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste 3 tsp
  • Chat masala 2 tsp
  • vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Red colour 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Coal 2

How to make Smoky Grilled Tandoori Chicken

  1. Make slits in the chicken, all over for the marinade to seep in.
  2. Rub lemon all over the chicken and wash again after half an hour.
  3. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade and rub all over the chicken.
  4. Let it marinate overnight in refrigerator.
  5. Grill on a gas tandoori with small piece of coal kept inside the tandoor.
  6. Apply a little butter when the chicken is being grilled.
  7. Serve on a bed of tangy onion salad and green chutney.
