Ingredients to make Chatpata Corn

  • Soft juicy corn, boiled 4
  • Ajwain roasted 1 tsp
  • tamarind chutney:
  • tamarind 1/2 cups
  • Gur / sugar 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste (kala namak)
  • cumin powder 1 tsp

How to make Chatpata Corn

  1. Boil tamarind in 1 cup water if there are seeds, strain it.
  2. Again heat the tamarind paste and add salt, cumin seeds, gur (jaggery). Cook for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Place hot boiled corn in a plate, pour some chutney over it and sprinkle ajwain.

My Tip:

While boiling corn add salt too. It takes 5-7 whistles in the cooker.
