Chocolate truffle cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate truffle cake

  • butter 75g
  • Castor sugar 112g
  • egg 1
  • flour 110g
  • Soda 1g
  • salt 1g
  • Milk 65ml
  • Cocoa powder 15g
  • water 30ml
  • Dark chocolate 300g
  • Fresh cream 125g
  • butter 25g
  • corn syrup 30g

How to make Chocolate truffle cake

  1. Sift flour,soda and salt.
  2. Soak cocoa powder in hot water.
  3. Stir in milk when the mixture is cool.
  4. Cream butter and sugar together.
  5. Whisk egg into the creamed mixture.
  6. Fold dry ingredients alternating with cocoa mixture.
  7. Bake at 180 degree centigrade for 30 mins in a preheated oven.
  8. Once its done take it out of the oven and let it cool.
  9. To make the icing mix butter and fresh cream in a saucepan and bring it to boil on low flame.
  10. Transfer it to the bowl of chopped chocolate.
  11. Stand for a minute and whisk thoroughly.
  12. Stain it and let it sit for a few hours. Cover the icing with cling film in such a way that it touches the surface of the icing.
  13. Now torte the cake and lightly brush it with sugar solution.
  14. Apply a layer of the icing and stack the other torted layer on top of it and brush it with sugar solution.
  15. Now completely cover the cake with the icing and decorate with chocolate.
