Ingredients to make Chocolate Mousse cake

  • For the base: 12 - oreos, powdered
  • 2 tbsp. - butter, melted
  • For the filling: 1 cup - whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - dark or milk chocolate, melted
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

How to make Chocolate Mousse cake

  1. Mix in the melted butter with the oreos and press evenly to the bottom and sides of a spring form pan. I just made it in rustic look. Put this in the freezer till you prepare the filling.
  2. In a deep bowl, beat the whipping cream until its stiff peaks and add vanilla essence. Mix well. You can also add 1 or 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar but for me the sweetness is perfect. So I am not using.
  3. Reserve 2 tablespoons of whipping cream for garnish and add melted chocolate to the remaining. Beat well till its very well incorporated.
  4. Spread this yummy filling to the oreo base we made earlier and level it. Keep it in the fridge for atleast 4 hours or overnight is best. Garnish with whipping cream and chocolate shavings. You can also add strawberries for more taste.
